2-Week Spoilers/Recaps: December 6-10/13-17, 2021

The Young and the Restless

Nick finds himself at loose ends, Ashley and Victor reach a new understanding, Victoria and Adam are put in an usual position (by an even unlikelier person!), and Abby is headed for a revelation: Just because Chance is home doesn’t mean that everything is going to go right back to normal. Whatever “normal” even means in Genoa City!

Friday, December 3:

Billy hatches a plan against Victor and Adam and Chance meets his son for the first time.

When Victor puts the pressure on his adversaries, we’re guessing it’s all about who will end up with Chance Comm — or what’s left of it, anyway. Will Newman Media prevail or will the spoils go to Victoria and Ashland, who threw their hat in the ring by offering to keep Lily on as CEO?

In a move that’s hardly shocking if you know her, Jill starts a bidding war. Let the vultures picking over the carcass of Chancellor Communications pay top dollar for the privilege of calling it their own!

Answering our question from above, Lily takes on a new role. Will the change in her fortunes cause trouble between her and Billy, who managed to put everything they’d built at risk on what amounted to his latest gamble?

Week of December 6:

Y&R Restless Rant: Hot topics include Billy’s big plan for revenge on Adam putting us right back where we don’t want to be, Chance’s upcoming struggles, and Sally not being used.

Monday, December 6:

You would think that at this point Victor wouldn’t have to caution Victoria about protecting Billy. But the Mustache knows all too well what a soft spot his daughter’s always had for her favorite ex-husband.

Given Nick’s efforts to uncover the truth about his then-future brother-in-law — not exactly the Welcome to the Family present anyone wants! — it makes sense that he would want to clear with air with Ashland. Question is, is that even possible at this point?

Since Nikki pulls out all the stops for Chance’s homecoming, it’s a safe bet that her stepson-in-law will be returning to a three-ring circus. A super classy and tasteful one, though; let’s be real.

Tuesday, December 7:

Their daughter’s recent tsunami of grief and relief challenged the bond between Victor and Ashley like nothing has since Adam threw on a dress and scared his her into a miscarriage. But it’s a new era and a new day, one that’s perfect for the former marrieds to agree on a fresh game plan.

Unlike his grandma Jill, Chance struggles with being the center of attention. Suddenly, his past travails — and there were a lot of ’em — seem easy-peasy by comparison.

With Victoria in charge of the company and even Adam in Victor’s good graces, Nick struggles with feeling like an outsider with his family. Maybe he’ll reevaluate the way that he put them first — to the point that he lost Phyllis?

Wednesday, December 8:

When Jack and Phyllis agree to a fresh start, it can only mean one of two things: They’ve decided that now and forever they reside in the friend zone… or they owe it to themselves to find out whether if they just gave it one more try, they could actually make it as a couple.

Put away your flammables, because sparks are sure to fly when Adam enlists Sally’s help. These two can’t seem to help it. Whether or not they’re flirting, there they are — sparks. If only the show would pull the trigger and pair her with [Spoiler], we’d have ourselves a red-hot love triangle — and then some.

Given how deeply his feelings run for Lily, Billy probably means it when he makes her a promise. Mind you, that doesn’t necessarily mean that he can keep it!

Thursday, December 9:

Game on! When Victor challenges Adam and Victoria, is he risking setting off a new round of sibling rivalry? Or could the gauntlet he throws actually bring the usual adversaries closer together?

Tessa and Noah take on a new project together. Hope it’s designing tracking earrings for Mariah, ’cause that whole time she was kidnapped was stressful!

Pass the knife, ’cause the tension is sure to be thick enough to cut when Lily does her best to keep up appearances with Victoria. On second thought, forget the knife; bring us the chainsaw.

Friday, December 10:

As Nick and Phyllis discuss their regrets, will they realize that they’ve made a hasty mistake in throwing in the towel on their relationship? Or, as sorry as they are that it didn’t work out, will they shake hands and part anew, as friends?

As happy as he is to be with Abby and their son, Chance still faces a big obstacle: adjusting to civilian life. Could he actually come to miss the rush of being in danger, the high of doing something for the greater good?

As Devon opens up to Amanda about Dominic, marvel at how well this latest chapter of his life fits in with the unpredictable twists and turns it’s taken in the past.

Victor is used to doling out vengeance like it was Tic-Tacs, but the shoe could be on the other foot if two of the people whose hit lists he tops put their heads together.

The Bold and the Beautiful

As Sheila’s irritation with Deacon turns to jealousy, someone is surely going to want to duck and cover. Meanwhile, as the debate surrounding Hope’s desire to have her father in her life intensifies, Liam gets advice from a questionable source, and Thomas and Steffy align themselves with Ridge. Find out who is about to return to Los Angeles and find herself in the midst of a full-blown family feud.

Friday, December 3:

Brooke tells Deacon he’s welcome in their home, just as Ridge throws Hope out of the cabin. Plus, Steffy and Thomas discuss Finn, and Finn thanks Sheila, who presses for a relationship.

Ah, yes — just as we predicted, Finn struggles with his commitment to Steffy and the pull that he feels toward Sheila. Do we really need to remind him of her long, long list of misdeeds to convince him to keep his distance from the soap-hopping maniac?

As Ridge reaches his breaking point, Brooke makes a decision. Has “destiny” been thwarted by Deacon’s return to the mix? If so, at least the dressmaker won’t have to look too long or too hard to find a new love to distract him — one is on the way.

Week of December 6:

Monday, December 6:

How much weight can this particular “Bridge” withstand? Something tells us we’re about to find out, as Ridge stuns Brooke with news of his ultimatum to Hope.

Deacon really needs to find himself a more supportive confidante, ’cause we suspect there will be mockery, and plenty of it, when he announces his vision for the future to an incredulous Sheila.

On a poignant anniversary, B&B's Denise Richards (Shauna Fulton) remembers a loved one lost: “It doesn’t get easier living without you.”

Tuesday, December 7:

She might have gotten a chuckle out of Deacon’s little fantasy in the beginning, but mirth turns to plain old-fashioned irritation as Sheila grows frustrated with her roommate’s fixation on Brooke. Is Deacon inadvertently painting a target on the back of the ex that he never quite got over?

It’s time to test Brooke and Ridge’s old theory that they’re the couple who can “get though anything together” when they hit a significant impasse in their relationship. After moving past their differences over Thomas, has “Bridge” arrived at yet another crossroads, one that will ultimately lead them down separate paths?

Wednesday, December 8:

As battle lines are drawn, Steffy and Thomas rally around Ridge, reminding him of their own family bonds. Despite what Brooke might think, it’s not all about her, her, her.

We’re not sure how objective he can be, given his own history with Deacon, but it will be interesting to see what advice Dollar Bill will have to offer Liam when he counsels his son on his stressful dilemma involving Hope’s father.

Thursday, December 9:

When Hope and Deacon put Brooke on the spot, will they get the response for which they’re hoping? We predict that Ridge’s wife will shed one of her trademark single-eye tears. The only question in our minds is, will it be a happy one… or a sad one?

When Ridge, Thomas and Steffy get emotional discussing the past, present and future, it sure sounds like the stage is being set for the return of someone significant to their family. Wanna bet that someone’s name rhymes with “sailor”?

Friday, December 10:

Keeping up with the Joneses… or, in this case, the Sharpes and Logans. When Sheila gets jealous of Deacon’s progress with Hope and Brooke, she will undoubtedly be compelled to try something radical in an effort to further her relationship with Finn and Hayes. It goes without saying that this spells danger for any unlucky person who gets in her way. Perhaps she’ll have to go so far as to recruit the one man Kimberlin Brown says ever loved her psycho character unconditionally.

After missing scads of drama involving her offspring in recent years, from Thomas’ brain tumor to Steffy’s wedding, Taylor returns to Los Angeles, where she and Steffy share a joyous reunion.

As you spend time with your relatives this holiday season, consider yourself lucky: Your family tree could have branches as tangled as those of the Logan sisters.

General Hospital

Things get tense between Michael and Willow, Sonny and Carly face a tough choice, and Peter is once again running around making threats. (Seriously, what’s it going to take to stop this guy?!? It's like he's the energizer bunny?!)

Week of November 29:

GH Soapbox: Thankful for Peter’s arrest, lamenting hanging storylines, and hoping Drew’s reappearance re-invigorates certain characters.

Monday, November 29:

Valentin takes back ELQ, Drew surprises the Quartermaines on Thanksgiving, and news about Jason spreads.

Break out your Thanksgiving leftovers, because the holiday continues today in Port Charles as Portia hosts a Friendsgiving dinner.

How will Sam and Dante react to the news that’s making its way around town?

Nina and Phyllis each have something to share with the other when they sit down for a heart-to-heart chat.

In the least surprising news ever, a squabble breaks out at the Quartermaine mansion.

Tuesday, November 30:

Cyrus calls Sonny, Britt confides in Austin, Liesl and Scott reconnect, and Drew breaks the news about Jason to the Qs.

Things take an unexpected turn at the Quartermaine home as Thanksgiving continues… and no, it’s not that they wind up eating pizza.

In light of what’s happened, Sam finds herself worrying about how to move forward and what the next steps will be.

It takes a lot to shake up Sonny, so who is on the other end of the disturbing phone call he receives?

Austin and Britt find themselves commiserating. (Is it wrong that we immediately find ourselves thinking, “Hmm, chemistry testing a new couple?”) Meanwhile, her mom receives a visitor she wasn’t anticipating.

Wednesday, December 1:

Chase is suspended from the force, Spinelli finds out about Jason, and Victor takes charge of the Cassadine family.

Believe it or not, Thanksgiving Day continues as Alexis’ holiday dinner goes a tad off the rails.

When Ned is in need of comforting, Olivia is there for him.

Sonny turns to Spinelli for an assist.

How will the move Sam and Dante make impact their future as a budding couple?

Casting news! Beloved vet back in action at last: “I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of that family once again.”

Thursday, December 2:

Sam suggests she and Alexis team up, Sasha and Brando name their baby, and Valentin returns to the Quartermaines.

After what’s been a long and trying day, Sonny and Carly make time to reconnect.

As Sasha struggles, Brando and Nina join forces to be there for her.

Brook Lynn and Chase work together to try and calm Maxie, but that may be a tall order.

There’s turmoil in the Cassadine family (thanks in no small part to Victor). As the newly-free Alexis tries to figure out what her next step should be, Valentin finds himself opening up to Anna in a way he hasn’t before.

General Hospital alum Michelle Stafford (ex-Nina) introduces the family member who fits in purr-fectly in the circus that is her happy home!

Friday, December 3:

Peter ruffles several feathers, including Austin’s and Nina’s. And Maxie is pushed to her breaking point after witnessing Valentin say goodbye to Bailey.

Move over Quartermaines, because the Cassadines just outdid you this year for Thanksgiving! Read our General Hospital soapbox for this and other opinions.

What does Carly spy that makes her extremely uneasy? Meanwhile, Brando gets a bit of fatherhood advice from Sonny who, having had his fair share of kids, knows quite a bit on the topic!

Looking for closure, Valentin does something he hopes will bring it to him.

Maxie is caught off guard.

Having clearly forgotten what they say happens when one assumes, Britt makes an assumption about Austin.

Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) shares a fantastically festive family photo that’s guaranteed to get you in the holiday spirit!

Kelly Monaco (Sam) tweets the equivalent of a hug to a particularly dear castmate.

Genie Francis heads back to General Hospital: “Laura’s returning… and she’s not alone.”

Week of December 6:

GH Soapbox: Taking Maxie’s side, questioning Sante sex, and reveling in the dysfunctional Cassadine family drama.

Monday, December 6:

With Jason out of the picture, we’ll be interested to see what brings Sonny and Britt together and how they interact with one another.

Look out, Nina, because Carly wants answers from you… and experience has taught us that there’s probably no “right” response you can give.

What will Willow do with the stunning piece of information which falls into her lap?

Ava has a word of caution for Nikolas.

Louise has a new champion in Drew, who is determined to track down the “missing” child.

Tuesday, December 7:

When Sonny issues a challenge, will Nina rise to meet it?

Willow carefully ponders what her next move should be.

Maxie finds herself having to confront the past. Will this hopefully help clear the way toward her future reunion with her daughter?

Esme may consider herself a master manipulator, but she’s about to be played by Trina! Meanwhile, Josslyn questions Spencer about his relationship.

Wednesday, December 8:

Another day, another round of threats from Peter. (He might want to check out the article in which fans make it pretty clear exactly how they feel about him! Then, maybe he can check himself before he… oh, too late. He’s already wrecked himself!)

How will Willow react when Nina comes to her, asking for a favor?

Maxie has a word of warning for Austin. But will he listen, given how stubborn he can be?

Wait, what’s this? Gladys actually has… regrets about something she’s done?

When Brando and Sasha find themselves in need of support, Michael puts on his White Knight armor in order to be there for him.

Thursday, December 9:

With whom is Sonny about to make “an arrangement?” (It always sounds kinda scary when you know the dude striking the deal is a made man!)

Selina Wu pays Britt a visit… anyone else suspect it might have to do with the doc’s best friend, Brad?

Ava catches her husband off guard.

Irony alert: Obrecht thinks Nina should do what she can to make things right.

When a pal needs someone to lean on, Maxie is there.

Friday, December 10:

Apparently completely failing to read the room, Anna tries to make a deal with Peter.

Sonny and Carly are going to have to make a very difficult choice.

Brando turns to the last source you might expect when he winds up in desperate need of help.

Britt opens up to Nina.

Michael and Willow wind up having a tense exchange with Brook Lynn and Chase.

Days of Our Lives

Someone comes across a horrific scene, as one man attempts to rescue Sami — plus, a surprise visitor returns to Salem and two people are caught in the act!

Week of December 6:

Days Soapbox: Dishing Lucas’ delayed rescue, the Carvers emotional (and adorable) week, and Philip’s downward spiral.

Next week on Days of Our Lives, Sami is back in Salem and in for a huge shock when she races to reunite with EJ!

Monday, December 6:

Things take a gory turn when Chloe makes a discovery while strolling along the bank of the river.

Kristen’s missing (again) and Rafe has questions, so it’s time to round up the usual suspects. First on his list of folks to grill? Xander!

Gabi and Jake think they’re a heck of a team, but when they go to Victor with a proposal, will he see them the same way?

Roman and Kate are going to take the latest version of their romance out for a spin. Will they find that they’ve still got it?

Tuesday, December 7:

Roman and Kate will no doubt be thrilled by the return of Rex. Personally, we’re hoping that along with paying them a visit, he also starts cluing Xander in to what really went down when Sarah “left town.”

Chad’s growing increasingly frustrated with his brother, EJ. When he shares his feelings with Abigail, will she offer any solutions?

Jake and Gabi prove they’re ready to gamble by raising the stakes with Victor.

When new evidence surfaces, Shawn and Chloe begin to fear the worst where Philip’s fate is concerned…

Wednesday, December 8:

It’s Lucas to the rescue — or at least it will be if his plan to save Sami goes down the way he hopes it will!

Fresh off his questioning of Xander, Rafe sits down with Chad and Abigail to see what they might know about Kristen and her whereabouts. (Has anyone checked the tunnels beneath the DiMera mansion in general and that wine room where everyone hides out/holds people hostage in particular?)

When EJ swings by for a visit, Ava’s hackles immediately go up. Is she right to think he’s not just there for a casual chat?

It’s easy to forget, but Kate’s a woman with what one might politely call a “checkered past.” So it makes sense that she and Paulina would bond when the latter needs someone with whom to discuss mistakes she’s made.

Thursday, December 9:

Chloe has a few difficult questions she wants Brady to answer regarding Philip. (Anybody else get the distinct impression that Brady’s being framed by his increasingly-unbalanced rival?)

Sami’s in for yet another shock. (For more details, read tomorrow’s teasers!)

With things getting complicated between them, EJ asks Nicole to be honest with him about her feelings for Rafe.

Shawn’s got a puzzle to solve and, fortunately for him, Belle’s really good at fitting pieces together!

Friday, December 10:

Sami may kinda sorta wish she was back in captivity when she rushes home to find estranged hubby EJ in bed with her longtime rival, Nicole! (Does the fact that Sami was being held captive qualify as a “We were on a break!” situation?)

The latest evidence to implicate Brady in Philip’s disappearance definitely doesn’t look good. Even Shawn is starting to have his doubts about what really went down! Worse, Brady finds out that Chloe might not be in his corner as she has some serious doubts of her own. And how will Victor and Kate react upon discovering the latest news regarding their son?

Week of December 13:

Monday, December 13:

Kate’s still reeling from recent revelations regarding Philip’s apparent fate… and she knows exactly who to blame. Expect the miffed mama to be loaded for bear when she calls out Chloe and Brady!

Tuesday, December 14:

The more things change, the more they stay the same. So it shouldn’t surprise anyone that when Sami and Nicole cross paths, things quickly devolve to the point that the proverbial fur begins to fly.

Wednesday, December 15:

You won’t want to miss the terrifying showdown between Marlena and what might well be called the forces of good as represented by John, Ben and Shawn!

Nicole and Rafe have been trying to define their relationship for a while now, and we’re going to guess that this week they’re on the skids. Why do we say that? Well, generally speaking, women who are happy and in love don’t slap the guys they’re digging!

Thursday, December 16:

Victor and Kate are drawn together as they have to make an incredibly difficult decision.

Friday, December 17:

Rex and Xander’s conversation results in the former giving the latter a bit of downright shocking information. The big question? What will Xander do with his newfound knowledge!
