Life on The Bold and the Beautiful seemed like a fantasy come true at times for Zoe Buckingham, but it got even better for her portrayer, Kiara Barnes, when she joined the primetime reboot of Fantasy Island. There’s a lot of good news for the former soap star — and this isn’t a fantasy.
Kiara Barnes Teams Up With Kimberly McCullough
That’s because her show in which she plays Ruby, which airs on Fox, not only got picked up for a second season, but the network believes in it so much they had them do a holiday installment! On hand to direct the special is none other than former child actress-turn-director Kimberly McCullough, who played General Hospital’s Robin Scorpio for decades. The two exchanged messages on social media.
Barnes touted the good news of the holiday special saying, “can’t wait” after she shared the trailer from the show’s official social media account that said, “Excited for more of this friendship? Ruby and Elena are back on the island for a #FantasyIsland holiday special December 21 on @FOXTV.”
McCullough responded to Barnes’s tweet saying, “Loved shooting this scene with you two. Such an easy connection.” The other person she’s referring to is Roselyn Sanchez, who stars as Elena Rourke, who runs the island. She and Ruby are getting to know each other after Ruby came to work on the island.
It seems like Barnes is being kept very busy with her primetime commitments, so it seems doubtful she’ll have a chance to return to The Bold and the Beautiful to check on her sister Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) or her former fiancé Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor). If she does ever return, could Carter and Paris have formed their own love connection? Time will tell if that happens — or, perhaps, it’s just a fantasy.
