The Young and the Restless
While Abby makes a difficult decision that may impact not only Chance but also Devon, the latter takes on something new — or would that be someone new? Meanwhile, Victor, with the help of Michael, is back to making power plays — and waves — in Genoa City’s business circles. (Three words: It’s about time!) And that’s just the tip of the iceberg ...
Friday, January 21:
Devon is floored by Abby’s change of heart, Victoria targets Adam and Noah reacts to Tessa and Mariah’s engagement news.
Woe be the target when Victor launches a plan of attack. Will the ruthless mogul who built his empire from the ground up be able to save his legacy and take down yet another foe? We’re guessing he can do it with one eye closed and one hand tied behind his back, but we’ll relish seeing him in action, anyway.
When Michael leaves Lauren in suspense, she’s probably being kept in the dark about his and Victor’s strategy. But how will the fiery redhead deal with being left out of the loop, not to mention her husband’s planned retirement being derailed so thoroughly?
It certainly sounds like things are going to come to a head when Abby makes a big decision. What steps will the blonde take, and how will the people around her react? Aren’t we due to add a happy chapter to our epic recap of her and Chance’s love story?
Week of January 24:
Next week on Young & Restless, it’s Newman vs Newman vs Locke as the war between Newman-Locke and Newman Media heats up!
Monday, January 24:
Well this is intriguing: Sharon notices a new side to Rey. It’s honestly almost a relief, given that we’ve been seeing the same ol’ consistent side of Mr. Nice Guy for as long as we can remember. Let’s shake things up, Detective!
We’re surprised that it took this long, but finally, Chloe loses her patience with Chelsea and Sally, who have been at one another’s throats since they met. Actually, the sniping began even before they met. Will the firecracker who brought these battling Bickersons together be able to broker a peace deal… or at the very least a working relationship?
We can only imagine that there will be some kind of resolution to the conflict over what’s best for Dominic, as well as the woes in Abby’s marriage, when she makes a painful decision. Sheesh, was her life always such a mess? Let’s review her tear-stained past and find out, shall we?
Attention Hearties! When Calls the Heart season 9 preview: Stars reveal new emotional storylines and fresh faces — plus, how Hope Valley is moving into the future!
Tuesday, January 25:
We like the sound of this already! When Victor enlists Michael’s help with a sensitive assignment, will he have the wily attorney look into the unsavory information he’s learned about Ashland? And if so, will things soon come to a head with Victoria, depending what her dad’s operative discovers?
Well, we don’t know who or what Victoria strikes back at, but she does, and we feel bad for them because her aim is as accurate — and ruthless — as her father’s ever was. But wait, maybe it’s Victor himself that she targets!
This redhead has been putting the “restless” in The Young and the Restless since her split from Nick. So we have to wonder if Phyllis will consider making a change when she receives a tempting offer.
Wednesday, January 26:
Victor keeps Adam on his toes, which could go one of two ways. Either he’ll rise to the occasion and make his dad proud, or be irritated by the Mustache’s game-playing and begin a turn to his dark side again. Consider the options as you look back at Adam’s history, from hero to villain to… something in between.
Uh-oh. It never pays to be on the receiving end when Nikki gives a stern warning. Will it be son-in-law Ashland who gets on her bad side once again? The protective mama might be on high alert where he’s concerned after catching him vetting a new hire behind Victoria’s back.
When Devon embraces a new challenge, might it have to do with parenting Dominic? It’s not that much of a stretch to imagine it, given that Abby makes a difficult decision earlier in the week.
Thursday, January 27:
After Tessa’s unexpected proposal, Mariah turns the tables on her lady love. What ever might the redhead have in store for her significant other?
In the wake of Abby’s decision, Chance struggles with his new normal. The question we all want to know the answer to is whether or not he’s making his way along this new path alone or with his wife at his side.
What pot will be irrevocably stirred when Noah makes a confession? Given the longing looks he’s been casting in Tessa’s direction, we have to wonder if it will affect his half sister Mariah, her future, and Nick and Sharon’s family.
Friday, January 28:
The Mustache is making moves again, and we couldn’t be happier. So what breaking business news will take Genoa City by storm — and whose nose will be left out of joint — when the tycoon brokers a major deal?
After the epiphanies of his standalone episode gave him new purpose and a renewed sense of direction, Nick shares words of wisdom with Noah. Will his son take the advice to heart… or make more of a muddle of his life?
Meanwhile, we know just the direction in which Nick should be pointing — and the woman on the other end of it.
We have to wonder what’s going on with the Abbott clan — or will it actually have to do with Phyllis — when Jack returns home to chaos? In any case, until he’s back in the thick of things, we’re getting our fix of the reformed playboy via our photo gallery of his life and loves.
Celebrate Tracey E. Bregman’s Young & Restless anniversary.
The Bold and the Beautiful
One mother makes a shocking confession that spins her daughter’s world on its axis, while another decides it’s a good idea to meddle in her offspring’s love life. Spoiler alert: It never is a good idea. Meanwhile, a certain cutie-patootie tells what seems to be a strange story as he struggles to keep a huge secret. When will the people in Douglas’ life learn to take that kid seriously? After all, he exposed the truth about Phoebe/Beth! Find out whose candid conversation a very determined Sheila will zero in on and imagine what the consequences might be…
Friday, January 21:
Brooke comes clean with Hope, Paris and Carter make a decision and Taylor ends up in Ridge’s arms!
It’s the moment of truth when Hope begs Brooke to confess to anything that may have happened to make her drink. Will her guilt-ridden mother confess to kissing her father and helping him off the wagon on that fateful night?
Steffy’s been urging her mom to fight for Ridge. But should both women move on instead of dwelling in the past? Here’s what we’d rather see than another war between the Logans and the Forresters.
Week of January 24:
Monday, January 24:
Paris wants to have her cake and eat it, too, and obviously thinks Carter should be serving it up! So the younger Buckingham sister balks when the Forrester COO puts the brakes on their smoldering passion. Could it be pal Ridge’s warning about getting involved with women who are already in a relationship that makes him think twice? Or just, you know, common sense and/or experience?
Hope is shocked by a guilt-ridden Brooke’s torrid confession. We’re not sure why, at this point, anyone would be shocked by the blonde bombshell copping to kissing out of turn, but her daughter clearly wasn’t expecting to hear that her mother was snogging her dad over the holidays!
Tuesday, January 25:
What could possibly go wrong?! Concerned about her daughter’s relationships, Grace meddles in Paris’ love life. Something tells us the Forrester Foundation go-getter might be tempted to pull the welcome mat out from under her mother’s feet after this move.
Brooke is worried when she learns that Douglas is with Thomas. And so she should be. After the way she judged her stepson so harshly, if the young designer gets wind of her kissing someone other than his dad, he’ll undoubtedly waste no time in filling in Ridge on the deets.
Wednesday, January 26:
Well, it looks like Brooke’s worst fears have come to fruition as Douglas tells a confused Thomas, Steffy and Ridge a strange story. But will they put two and two together and realize that the Santa Claus that Grandma was kissing was actually a Santa Con — and none other than Deacon Sharpe?
When Brooke loses Ridge again — and let’s be real, we can all read the writing on the wall — she’s not going to have nemesis Taylor to blame… or Sheila… or Deacon. And obviously, Douglas won’t be at fault! He’s just a kid! No, the person at whom she’ll have to point the finger is none other than… Well, we're sure you’ll figure out this one...
Thursday, January 27:
Let the wailing and gnashing of teeth begin! Liam urges Hope to express her feelings about her parents kissing. But might she surprise him by deciding she’s happy about it and hopes they get back together? After all, Ridge did rub her the wrong way, what with threatening to kick her off the property and all.
On a singular mission to destroy the blonde who had the audacity to vow to keep her out of her son’s life, Sheila relentlessly pushes an annoyed Deacon for information about Brooke. Will he crack under the considerable pressure or continue to protect his so-called lady love? If you ask us, he’s got a lot to make up for; here’s why.
Friday, January 28:
On-screen reunion! Bold & Beautiful nemeses ‘Deacon’ and ‘Rick’ are getting back together and it sparked a brilliant idea.
Where there’s a will, there’s a way… and Sheila may just have found it when she watches from afar as Hope and Deacon discuss his night with Brooke. Will the madwoman manage to get close enough to overhear the details? Brooke had better hope not!
This kid has stumbled onto more damning information since he returned to Los Angeles from New York than most of us do in a lifetime. Now poor Douglas struggles to keep Brooke’s secret, but will he manage to keep a lid on the blonde’s latest betrayal… or is it destined to come spilling out? We'll let you guess this one...

Esme does what she does best, by which we mean stir the pot. Will Cam be drawn into her latest drama?
Wednesday, January 26:
The teens have been talking about getting away to Sonny’s cabin for ages, and they finally arrive. (We can’t help but wonder if Cam, Josslyn, Spencer, Esme and Trina have never seen a horror movie. Do they not know that nothing good ever comes of trips to isolated cabins in the woods?)
Carly’s life has been in turmoil of late, so today she decides to try and reconnect with her inner peace. You know what definitely won’t help her in that regard? The arrival of longtime nemesis Ava!
Is it wrong that we hope the news Britt delivers to Peter is along the lines of “You won’t be leaving the hospital alive?” Of course, given his track record, it’s probably more along the lines of “You won the lottery.”
Valentin takes a meeting with Martin.
