Weekly Spoilers/Recaps: January 10-14/17-21, 2022

The Young and the Restless

Victor takes on a new fight with the help of an old friend who may be keen for a challenge in light of his recent life-changing decision (yes, it’s Michael!). In other developments, Mariah jumps on a controversial bandwagon, and the Billy and Adam saga takes a most unexpected turn! Find out who will receive a painful reminder of the past and who Chelsea is targeting as she sets to plotting and scheming once again…

Week of January 17:

Y&R Restless Rant! Hot topics: Billy and Adam shocker ahead! Plus, battle lines drawn in Devon legal drama, Chelsea/Sally, new romance. Also dishing Nick’s birthday, Michael episode and more!

Monday, January 17:

Just when Michael was wondering how he’d spend his retirement years, Victor comes through with the challenge of a lifetime. There’s little doubt this duo will prevail when The Mustache recruits his former attorney to help protect the Newman legacy.

When Devon shares his concerns about Chance, will he gain a new ally in his bid to protect the child he loves by filing for shared custody? Or will the person to whom he opens up be the one who is finally able to convince him that the Chancellor heir is stable enough to parent little Dom?

We predicted an Adam and Victoria rematch coming when Billy took himself out of the equation, and it appears we were on the right track. Will the bad blood between the half siblings come rushing to the surface again when the Newman Media head questions his sister’s motives?

Y&R alum Emme Rylan has something to be excited about and exclaims, “Feels so good to be back on a set!”

Tuesday, January 18:

The time is right for these two *new* characters to shake-up Y&R canvas. Find out who could reset Billy and totally upend Victoria and Ashland!

Oh wow… It looks like this could be the beginning of the end for Victoria’s love story of the century when Nikki catches Ashland in a compromising position. Will he be with another woman — or more likely, be caught conspiring against the Newmans in the corporate sense?

Well, we got our answer to the question of Devon gaining an ally… It appears the Baby Chancellor Crew will truly become divided when Mariah strategizes with her billionaire buddy and ex.

Still struggling to get over their latest break-up, Phyllis receives a painful reminder from Nick. Will this be the catalyst that finally launches her into pursuing a full-on reconciliation with Jack? Or could we be about to get the comeback of an old flame we’d love to see reheated?

Wednesday, January 19:

File this under Things We Never Thought We’d See or Hear Tell of! It would appear hell has frozen over and the world has tilted on its axis as Billy makes a deal with Adam. Dang, that even felt weird to type! (Maybe we won’t have to add them to our countdown of soap’s greatest male feuds of all-time after all.)

Well, here’s a shocker… Chelsea plots against Sally. While it might seem counter-intuitive to the health of their fashion platform, we’d be lying if we didn’t say we saw this coming a mile away. After all, the redhead claimed she’s not interested in pursuing Adam, but his ex’s BS-o-meter would almost certainly have determined that that is a lie.

So, running Chancellor Industries wasn’t enough?!? We can’t imagine what else Lily could possibly have time for, but she must move her schedule around as she’s set to take on a new venture.

Thursday, January 20:

It wouldn’t seem she has anything left to prove to her partner, but nonetheless, Tessa pulls out all the stops to impress Mariah. Will her grand gesture garner the desired reaction from her lady love?

As her troubles multiply, Abby turns to Christine for advice. Will the experienced blonde have some helpful insight to share where her partner’s PTSD is concerned? Given that Conner Floyd previewed hardships ahead for Chance, it’s not looking good.

When Noah sets the record straight with Nick, we have to wonder if he’ll be turning down the job offer at New Hope in favor of working for Adam at Newman Media. Will his father’s nose be left out of joint, or will he understand his son’s desire to forge his own path?

Friday, January 21:

Woe be the target when Victor launches a plan of attack. Will the man who built his empire from the ground up be able to save his legacy and take down yet another foe? We’re guessing he can do it with one eye closed and one hand tied behind his back, but we’ll relish seeing him in action, anyway.

When Michael leaves Lauren in suspense, she’s probably being kept in the dark about his and Victor’s strategy. But how will the fiery redhead deal with being left out of the loop, not to mention her husband’s planned retirement being derailed so thoroughly?

It certainly sounds like things are going to come to a head when Abby makes a big decision. What steps will the blonde take, and how will the people around her react?

The Bold and the Beautiful

Deacon makes a declaration, Hope has something to hide from Steffy, Paris and Carter go deeper down a rabbit hole with which he’s all too familiar, and Ridge shares a special moment with a woman who is not his wife… Find out who will spill all the tea...

Bold & Beautiful scores a TD with its casting of Forrester’s new exec!

Tuesday, January 18:

While Deacon may be envisioning a romantic reunion between himself and Brooke, she, on the other hand, is tormented about her secret night with Hope’s father. Will the mounting guilt lead to her spilling the beans to Ridge?

Well, it sounds like at least one Forrester lady is in the know about Brooke’s relapse. Watch for Taylor to pay a surprise visit to her nemesis, offering her friendship and professional help.

Wednesday, January 19:

Sheila covers when Taylor gets suspicious of her obsessive questions about Brooke. But how long can she keep up the charade, given how fixated she’s become on putting the blonde in her place? Will the doc realize what’s going on before someone (Brooke) gets (Brooke) hurt (Brooke)?

Paris questions her true intentions after witnessing Zende’s encounter with another woman. The question is whether or not she feels jealous upon taking in the scene… or feels nothing at all!

Thursday, January 20:

Throwing caution to the wind, Carter and Paris share a passionate kiss. It’s all a little shocking when you remember her stance on cheating when it involved her sister and when you consider that the Forrester COO has very recently been down this road and knows exactly where it leads!

Closing in on the truth?! Liam and Hope garner perspective on what may have happened to Brooke on New Year’s Eve. If they find out what went down, will they blame Deacon, or will Hope defend the father with whom she’s finally forged a relationship?

On the anniversary of her passing, John McCook (Eric) fondly remembers Darlene Conley —

Friday, January 21:

It’s the moment of truth when Hope begs Brooke to confess to anything that may have happened to make her drink. Will her guilt-ridden mother confess to kissing her father and helping him off the wagon on that fateful night?

Steffy’s been urging her mom to fight for Ridge. But should both women move on instead of dwelling in the past?

Felicia is not only back, she’s heading to the hospital on a fact-finding mission. Meanwhile, daughter Maxie has a conversation with Anna. (We suspect this may be more of a subtle interrogation than a conversation, but with Anna’s beautiful accent, things can sometimes seem far more friendly than they actually are!)

At long last, Drew and Victor come face to face. Something tells me Jason’s twin brother is gonna have a few things to say to his former captor!

When Valentin and Austin find the time to compare notes, that might not be particularly good news for someone in their mutual orbits! Could this have something to do with the new challenge that Brook Lynn and Chase suddenly find themselves facing?

Friday, January 14:

Sonny explodes at Michael, Nina seeks legal counsel regarding Wiley, and Britt gets an idea to help Brad.

Michael’s been dealing with some complex feelings ever since finding out about the time his dad spent with Nina in Nixon Falls. Today, he’s finally going to try to express those emotions.
