Recently, Will Horton raced to his husband Sonny’s side after he was stabbed by an unknown assailant. The duo still has no idea who was behind it. The upside is Sonny pulled through. We’re gonna call that a big win – and speaking of winning, actor Chandler Massey has quite a milestone to celebrate.
Happy Birthday, Chandler Massey!
And that’s because he was born on September 10, 1990, in Atlanta, Georgia, which means that this talented fan favorite is turning 32 years old today! While still in high school, Massey began cultivating his acting talent by snagging lead roles in multiple theatrical productions, including Little Shop of Horrors, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Guys & Dolls, and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
In May 2009, Massey relocated from Georgia to Los Angeles to attend The University of California at Los Angeles and pursue a career in acting. His earliest acting credits include guest stints on One Tree Hill, Eastbound & Down, and Army Wives.
In 2010, Massey successfully auditioned for the part of legacy character Will Horton and he made his DAYS debut on February 1 of that year. For his efforts, Massey was awarded back-to-back-to-back Daytime Emmys for Outstanding Younger Actor beginning with the 2012 ceremony.
Massey remained in the role until January 2, 2014, at which point the character was recast with Guy Wilson. Massey reprised the part on September 15, 2017, and he remained until September 2020.
In the interim, between his exit and return, Massey appeared in episodes of Bad Judge and Bunk’d starred in the films Angels in Stardust, The Standoff, I Remember You, Aquarians, and Butterfly Caught. He also starred in the 2018 picture Hide in the Light.
