Who’s coming and who’s going from the casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days of our Lives (DAYS), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?

Soap Opera Casting For The Week of September 12, 2022

Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day player roles.

The Young and the Restless

It’s time for another The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless crossover. Sean Kanan, who plays Deacon on B&B, is heading over to Y&R’s Genoa City later this month. Deacon was previously married to Y&R’s Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and will reconnect with his ex. Kanan appeared on Y&R from 2009 to 2012.

Mishael Morgan updated her status with Y&R. The actress, who’s been off camera as Amanda Sinclair for over a month, took to social media to assure fans she’s still part of the cast and will be returning soon to the soap opera. While Amanda has been visiting her ailing mother, Morgan has been on vacation with her family.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Meanwhile, Y&R veteran Melody Thomas Scott is bringing her alter ego, Nikki Newman, to The Bold and the Beautiful at the end of the month. Scott’s character was wed to Sean Kanan’s Deacon Sharpe, currently on B&B, when he appeared on Y&R a decade ago.

Days of our Lives

Lucas Adams is back on the Days of our Lives set filming scenes as Tripp Johnson, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Ava Vitale’s (Tamara Braun) son. Nichols revealed the news when he posted a video with Adams from the soap opera’s Burbank studio. Adams was written off the soap in June when Tripp moved to Seattle.

General Hospital

After on-and-off appearances as Kristina Corinthos Davis for most of the year, Lexi Ainsworth will reportedly be staying put on General Hospital for a while. The actress revealed the good news during a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest.

Chad Duell is back on the canvas as Michael Corinthos. Duell recently missed two episodes and was replaced by Robert Adamson (ex-Noah, The Young and the Restless). Adamson has stepped in for Duell multiple times during the year.
