Help this soap veteran celebrate his special day!
Although Days of our Lives viewers saw his dead character Deimos Kiriakis resurrected for a short time at Halloween to cause some mischief for Nicole Walker in 2021, and The Bold and the Beautiful fans were gifted by his appearance a Dr. Jordan Armstrong in July of 2022, the very versatile actor Vincent Irizarry is currently celebrating a major milestone.
Happy Birthday, Vincent Irizarry
That’s because he was born on November 12, 1959, in Queens, New York, which means that this talented thespian is turning 63 years old today! Irizarry, a classically trained pianist, first entered the performing arts world through his love of music.
After winning a full-time scholarship with Lee Strasberg, Irizarry honed his skills. In 1983, he landed his first on-camera role. From that time until 1985 he played Brandon “Lujack” Luvonaczek on the CBS daytime drama Guiding Light.
Next, Irizarry took an offer to appear on NBC’s Santa Barbara and he remained there between 1987 and 1989 playing Scott Clark. Then, he returned to Guiding Light. But, rather than resurrect the character of Lujack — who had met his maker after succumbing to injuries sustained in an explosion – he originated the part of Lujack’s identical twin, Nick McHenry.Irizarry’s second stint at GL continued for five years, ending in 1996. The following year he accepted an offer to join the cast of ABC’s All My Children. He made his debut as Dr. David Hayward on November 27, 1997, and remained with the program, on and off, for the next 14 years.
During one of his many off periods, Irizarry spent a year on CBS’ The Young and the Restless as David Chow. Following the third and final cancellation of All My Children, Irizarry next appeared on NBC’s Days of our Lives as schemer Deimos Kiriakis. In 2019, he enjoyed a brief run on The Bold and the Beautiful as Dr. Jordan Armstrong.
Outside of daytime, Irizarry has filmed guest appearances on many popular primetime programs including Murder She Wrote, Beverly Hills 90210, and Homeland.
