Chance sees how his wife leans more and more on their baby’s father. Will things go too far?
Poor Chance Chancellor has been through a lot over the years in service to his country, job, family, and his new wife. He went away on a secret undercover mission and before long, Y&R spoilers were teasing his return from the dead to find he had a son — with Devon Hamilton as that child’s biological father. Now he keeps seeing Devon and Abby getting closer and closer.
Y&R Spoilers Speculation
What is a guy like Chance (Conner Floyd) supposed to do as his wife, Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway), seems to have an easy friendship with Devon (Bryton James), while he seems to only disappoint her — saying the wrong thing, heading off to work for a living, and not always treat her like the princess she has been taught to be as the youngest daughter of the great Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Devon’s “friendship” with Abby looks to be intensifying, or at least Chance keeps coming upon the two huddled together, looking at pictures of little Dominic or confiding in each other the many woes that Devon seems to be experiencing with both his love and personal lives.
The poor guy had a hard time dealing with his post-traumatic stress disorder after so many of his cohorts were killed in a bomb blast. He’s been getting therapy but is he still going? Do we even know? He hasn’t been very attentive to Abby, making her feel less than precious, and she doesn’t like that. Devon is pretty needy right now and is leaning on her for advice and companionship while his girlfriend, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) is tending to her very sick mother.
What would happen if these two crossed the line from comfort to a sizzling affair — and Chance saw them together? Would his PTSD come back and cause him to do something they would all regret? It’s certainly possible! Could he really hurt either Abby or Devon? Or would his lashing out possibly take the form of grabbing Dominic and running off? That would certainly hurt them both. Think this wild speculation could really happen?
