The young actor sat patiently as makeup artists created the intricate, spooky costume.
This week Connor Newman stole the show on The Young and the Restless with his “sick” zombie Halloween costume. Now his portrayer, Judah Mackey, revealed a peek at the amazing amount of work that went on behind the scenes to create the adorably spooky look.
Judah Mackey Sat Patiently As Makeup Artists Transformed Him
Earlier this week, Connor’s Halloween costume was quite a hit in Genoa City. Even the boy’s uncle Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) took a moment to compliment it while on his way to fire Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).
Mackey took to Instagram to showcase a behind-the-scenes look at how it came about thanks to the intricate makeup. The video, which you can see below, shows the amazing transformation. Another post shows the young actor as Connor in some stills to really see the detail of the costume. The crew truly created a masterpiece.
“Becoming a zombie 🧟 on @youngandrestlesscbs @staceyannmakeup did such an awesome job! 💯 and @makeupbyorlando did the cool skelly hands!💀 #YR #halloween #halloweencostume #halloweenmakeup #zombie #zombiemakeup #timelapse #theyoungandtherestless #behindthescenes”
Mackey sat patiently while the makeup artists worked their magic as a life-size image of the late Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor) looked on. He had a lot of patience as the metamorphosis took place.
Mackey’s co-star Kelsey Wang (Allie Nguyen) chimed in with “Soooooooo cool! @staceyannmakeup so talented,” and the young actor replied in agreement. On his other post, Wang even expressed her jealousy at the fun costume. “Soooooo adorable!! I wanted a zombie outfit too 😅”
