2-Week Spoilers/Recaps: December 13-17/20-24, 2021

The Young and the Restless

Christmas gifts come early to a few of your Genoa City favorites. Victor receives exactly what he wants (valuable ammunition), and so does Lily (a distraction, courtesy of Billy). But Chelsea might have preferred a lump of coal to what she unwraps (a new rival). And Ashland’s wish list most definitely didn’t include what he gets (a front-row seat to Billy’s dark side).

Friday, December 10:

Nick and Phyllis share an emotionally charged moment, Devon and Mariah worry about Chance, and Noah seems fixated on Tessa.

As Nick and Phyllis discuss their regrets, will they realize that they’ve made a hasty mistake in throwing in the towel on their relationship? Or, as sorry as they are that it didn’t work out, will they shake hands and part anew, as friends?

As happy as he is to be with Abby and their son, Chance still faces a big obstacle: adjusting to civilian life. Could he actually come to miss the rush of being in danger, the high of doing something for the greater good?

As Devon opens up to Amanda about Dominic, marvel at how well this latest chapter of his life fits in with the unpredictable twists and turns it’s taken in the past.

When Call the Heart fave is a ‘Christmas presence’ in not one but two new holiday heartwarmers!

Week of December 13:

Y&R Restless Rant! Sally’s single, Noah’s a creeper, Chance is crying into throw pillows, and Sharon is pouring coffee!

Watch Monarch’s kickass new drama-filled promo and listen to Trace Adkins’ hot new single with the lyric video!

Monday, December 13:

We wonder if Nikki will feel like she’s talking to a wall when she urges Victor and Nick to make amends. Because let’s face it, her husband and their son are so stubborn, she might as well be talking to a wall!

When Amanda cooks up a surprise for Devon, might it be a bun in the oven? It’s probably just a fancy dinner, but we can dream, can’t we?

As Noah considers a new opportunity, we’ve got our fingers crossed that it will be one of the romantic variety. We know his heart’s been shattered, but hey — that’s what Scotch tape and new beginnings are for.

Tuesday, December 14:

Victor and Adam have never been the type to refrain from kicking a man when he’s down, so they make haste to take advantage of Billy’s downfall.

When Chloe and Lily share common ground, can it be anything but Billy, with whom the former had a child (RIP, Delia) and the latter has a relationship? They couldn’t be about to rehash the old days, right — you know, the ones in which Chloe tried to break up Lily and Cane by pretending he was her babydaddy?

At last! Chelsea returns home to Genoa City. She’ll look a little bit different than she did the last time you saw her, though.

Wednesday, December 15:

Apparently, Santa not only read Victor’s Christmas wish list, he decided to deliver to the Mustache early. Why do we think that? Because Genoa City’s most formidable mover and shaker is about to receive his very favorite thing: ammunition against an opponent.

Ruh-roh. When Christine shares surprising news with Chance, will it mean that, despite Abby’s protestations, he’s about to be taken away from his family yet again?

Considering how far Billy’s been pushed, perhaps it’s less a surprise that Ashland meets his dark side than that he didn’t meet it sooner!

The daughter of Melissa Ordway (Abby) and Justin Gaston (ex-Chance) turns 4.

Thursday, December 16:

When Chelsea corners Adam about the status of their relationship, will he offer her hope that maybe they have a future together after all? It’s worth noting that he has resisted Sally’s charms — how, we can’t fathom — and hasn’t reunited with Sharon, as we all predicted.

Tessa has a change of heart. The question is, about what?

Sally finds herself in a familiar situation when she has to cover her tracks. By now, she’s had to do so so often, she could probably teach a class on the subject.

Friday, December 17:

Game on! Who will think she has the upper hand when Chelsea and Sally size up the competition? And are either of them really wise to pursue Adam at all.

At least one thing in Billy’s life has yet to implode: his relationship with Lily. In fact, today he goes for Boyfriend of the Year status by providing her with a much-needed distraction.

As the World Turns‘ Jon Hensley has taken his career in a new direction...

The Bold and the Beautiful

It’s an emotional and thrilling moment for Steffy and Thomas as their mom finally comes home. And what timing, as Taylor’s return will catch Brooke, who is already doing damage control on her marriage, completely off guard. Find out what Deacon and Hope will get up to (you’ll never guess!)

Friday, December 10:

Steffy’s overjoyed by Taylor’s surprise return, Ridge walks out on Brooke again, and Sheila mocks Deacon.

Keeping up with the Joneses… or, in this case, the Sharpes and Logans. When Sheila gets jealous of Deacon’s progress with Hope and Brooke, she will undoubtedly be compelled to try something radical in an effort to further her relationship with Finn and Hayes. It goes without saying that this spells danger for any unlucky person who gets in her way. Perhaps she’ll have to go so far as to recruit the one man Kimberlin Brown says ever loved her psycho character unconditionally.

After missing scads of drama involving her offspring in recent years, from Thomas’ brain tumor to Steffy’s wedding, Taylor returns to Los Angeles, where she and Steffy share a joyous reunion. Remind yourself of all that the doc has been through by reviewing our handy-dandy photo gallery that retells her unbelievable life story.

Week of December 13:

Bold & Beautiful Hot Topics: Taylor’s back and the scene is set for a sizzling affair and not one, but *two* showdowns. Plus, loving Sheila and Deacon, and Steffy’s hypocrisy moment!

Monday, December 13:

Brooke and Katie have memories of their own father, Stephen, while discussing Hope and Deacon’s new dynamic. This is bound to give them some perspective on Hope’s situation, given that their dad returned to their lives after abandoning his family for decades… and may very well make them worry even more considering that he became involved in all manner of manipulations and deception. Go ahead, climb the Logan family tree by reviewing photos of the sisters and their relatives here.

“Tridge” fans will be rejoicing today as Taylor and Ridge share a warm and sweet reunion. But can the warm fuzzies last since he’s still married to her arch-nemesis — a rivalry so formidable, their animosty made our list of daytime’s greatest feuds ever?

Tuesday, December 14:

Steffy and Thomas get all the feels witnessing Ridge and Taylor together, which will undoubtedly spur them to play their own version of Parent Trap in an effort to reunite their family. Where, we might ask at this juncture, is the character to say, “Aren’t you guys a little old for this sort of nonsense?”

When Deacon and Hope realize that they have common interests, it’s anyone’s guess what they’ll turn out to be since Brooke’s straight-arrow daughter isn’t into drinking, running cons or blackmailing people into having sex with her.

Wednesday, December 15:

Answering our previous question, Deacon and Hope practice father/daughter martial arts together. Deacon’s been into a lot of things through the years; who knew one of them was karate?! Perhaps he watched Cobra Kai in the big house! Anyway, it remains to be seen if, after so many years of estrangement, these two will be able to forge a new level of trust based on their interaction in the dojo.

Grab the tissues! It’s been a long time coming, but the beleaguered and emotional Thomas is finally reunited with his mother. Lest you have any doubt about why her homecoming is so significant, we’ve prepared a whole photo album by way of explanation.

Thursday, December 16:

Taylor recounts to Steffy how Deacon and Brooke’s affair affected Ridge back in the day. This is curious, given that Ridge and Brooke weren’t together at the time — so we’ll be waiting with bated breath to hear what she has to say on the matter!

Check… but not checkmate?!? News of Taylor’s unexpected return throws Brooke off her game and will undoubtedly revive the long-held feelings of animosity that landed them a spot in our countdown of Bold & Beautiful’s most unforgettable rivalries.

Friday, December 17:

Ridge comes to the stunning realization that Hope isn’t the only Logan woman that Deacon wants to reconnect with — the other is his wife, Brooke! Umm, maybe he’s been distracted by Taylor’s return because this seemed pretty obvious to the rest of us.

When Deacon and Hope’s sparring session is unceremoniously interrupted, we can only hope that it’s Ridge who walks through the door of the dojo — and that he’ll challenge his rival to a match! Will the dressmaker get his butt whooped by the con?!?

Yeah, there have been quite a few Thomases over the years. But is he daytime’s most-recast character.

How will Willow react when Nina comes to her, asking for a favor?

Maxie has a word of warning for Austin. But will he listen, given how stubborn he can be?

Wait, what’s this? Gladys actually has… regrets about something she’s done?

When Brando and Sasha find themselves in need of support, Michael puts on his White Knight armor in order to be there for him.

Though the weather outside is frightful, the fun-in-the-sun photos Eden McCoy (Joss) just dropped are so delightful!

Monday, December 13:

We’ve been low-key shipping Elizabeth and Finn since first they crossed paths, and they’re getting ever closer. They share an intimate moment today… which kinda makes us worry, because we all know that on soaps in general and this one in particular, happiness means trouble is right around the corner!

Will Sasha and Brando be able to breathe easier after receiving the baby’s latest EEG results, or is their nightmare only just beginning?

As Drew continues to make the rounds, he spends time reconnecting with Curtis, who is thrilled to see him.

Who reaches out to Anna unexpectedly?

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day… and that’s probably even truer when it provides you to reconnect, the way Trina and Portia do today.

Maxie’s on pins and needles as she awaits news.

What Sonny does next will definitely catch someone off guard.

Curtis is unhappy when there’s a disturbance at his club.

Wednesday, December 15:

You can tune in because you want to hear what Chase and Finn have to say… or you can tune in because they have said conversation while stripped down in the steam room. No judgments here, either way.

Alexis may no longer be captive at Spring Ridge, but that doesn’t mean life has simply gone back to normal. Can the Davis girls help their matriarch readjust to life on the outside?

All Willow and Olivia want to do is a little bit of holiday shopping. Is that too much to ask? Apparently so, because things are about to go off the rails! Meanwhile, Michael sees something that will definitely cause his jaw to drop!

Elizabeth, Portia and Terry have a heart-to-heart about the state of their love lives.

Thursday, December 16:

When Sonny is there to provide comfort, to whom is he offering a shoulder?

Things get awkward between Brook Lynn and Chase. (Anybody else hoping that “awkward” translates into adorable and kinda romantic?)

Olivia can’t help but be nervous about meeting Ned so they can attend Leo’s appointment with the specialist.

Carly wants to be supportive of Sasha.

Curtis and TJ cross paths at the boxing ring. Will they talk things out while throwing a few punches?

Friday, December 17:

While locked up, Drew dreamed of the day he would get to spend time with Sam and Scout. Well, at long last that day has arrived! Will this be a bonding moment for the little girl’s parents?

When Curtis opens up to Portia about his concerns, will she be able to assuage his fears?
