Y&R star Jess Walton experienced yet another heartbreaking loss at the end of a year that’s been filled with losses for her and her family.
Jess Walton Said Goodbye To Her Dogs
The Jill Foster Abbott Atkinson actress took to Twitter to reveal she had lost her two dogs. The deaths of her pets came shortly after she lost her beloved horse, Ace. In August, Walton’s husband, John James, also passed away of liver cancer.
“We had to say goodbye to my beloved Jake and Lola,” Walton shared in a tweet, which you can see below. “They were 13 and 14 years old, and their quality of life was diminishing fast. I have to admit that I love them like they were my babies. And I will never forget them. Goodbye my little darlings.”
Along with her words, Walton also showcased her pets with a beautiful photo of the two of them lounging on a couch. The daytime star did not say what had happened to her pups, noting only that their quality of life diminished quickly.
Jill Recently Returned to Genoa City
Walton’s on-screen alter ego recently returned to Genoa City in the wake of the Chance Comm disaster. Today’s dialogue seemed to indicate that she might stick around for a while since she reiterated to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) that she intended to stay on at Chancellor in an advisory role for Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). She noted she would be as retired as Victor is at Newman.
The actress’s return lent a breath of fresh air to the sometimes stale CBS soap. Soap Hub recently awarded her its Performer of the Week honors. We send Jess Walton our deepest condolences on the loss of Jake and Lola.
