There is not a lot for Days of our Lives, Belle Black Brady, to celebrate, considering she’s pretty much blown up her marriage by sleeping with EJ DiMera. Luckily, the same isn’t true for actress Martha Madison.
Happy Birthday, Martha Madison!
And that’s because she was born on July 27, 1977, in Newport News, Virginia, which means that this talented performer is turning 45 years old today! Upon graduating from Texas A&M University with a degree in psychology, Madison relocated to New York City and enrolled in the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.
After obtaining a small part in the film Kate & Leopold, she moved to Los Angeles in order to pursue an acting career in earnest. Roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Passions soon followed, and in August of 2004, Madison joined the cast of Days of our Lives and assumed the part of Belle Black.
Madison remained at the NBC soap until March 24, 2008, though she has been reprising the character — on an “as-needed basis” — since November 25, 2015. Subsequently, the gorgeous star appeared in episodes of The Singles Table, Without a Trace, Criminal Minds, and General Hospital (where she briefly subbed for actress Rebecca Herbst in the role of Elizabeth Webber, R.N.).
Madison’s other acting credits include guest spots in One Mississippi, Great News, and A Place Called Hollywood, as well as starring roles in The Bay, Winterthorne, and Ladies of the Lake. She was in the film To The Beat! and To The Beat!: Back 2 School.
Madison has been married to restaurateur A.J. Gilbert since August 25, 2007. Together the couple shares a daughter, Charley Elizabeth (born November 3, 2013). She previously hosted an afternoon, soap-centric talk show with former GH star Lilly Melgar.
