Viewers might be excited to hear that Morales will appear as part of Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) efforts to get some dirt on Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).

Morales shared a clip from The Talk on her Instagram, which you can see below. “I have some exciting news to share! Starting next month, I have a little role, well it’s a recurring role on the CBS Daytime drama The Young and the Restless,” Morales revealed to her co-hosts and viewers.

“I am playing investigative reporter Talia Morgan, yes, and I’m investigating Diane Jenkins, played by Susan Walters. You know she’s the one who faked her own death. She’s returned recently to Genoa City after just being gone for 10 years. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”

Sheryl Underwood asked her a bit about her role on the soap. “Who are you starring with?” Morales revealed, “Well, of course, Susan Walters, who plays Diane Jenkins…Melody Thomas Scott who is Nikki, Michelle Stafford playing Phyllis. I’m having so much fun, these ladies are incredible.”

Currently, Morales’s character is set to debut on Wednesday, August 17, and she’ll appear on the show several times throughout the fall storyline.
