Weekly Soap Spoilers: August 1-5, 2022

The Young and the Restless

Victor has his hands full dealing with not one but two of his offspring, Diane opens up to someone not-so-unexpected, two high-level executives butt heads, a pair of lovebirds find themselves in a debate, and Abby’s husband uncovers something seriously disturbing before later being caught in a compromising position!

Friday, July 29:

Adam changes his plans, Nick makes an admission, and Kyle gives Harrison awful news.

Nick finds himself dealing with an ethical dilemma. Wisely, it’s Nikki to whom he turns for help, not Victor, who might kinda sorta be lacking in that particular department.

Kyle doesn’t have a huge amount of experience in the dad department, but he does his best to protect Harrison when it becomes necessary. Could the danger in which we feared he was putting his son be coming to pass already?

Mariah is keeping a secret from Tessa, which doesn’t sound like the kind of thing a newly-wed woman should be doing. Maybe it’s all for the best? In any case, we can’t wait to get the 411!

Week of August 1:

Y&R Restless Rant! Cover up: Victor’s role in Ashland’s death — Plus, Phyllis takes a huge risk to best Diane, Sally’s new love triangle, MIA characters and more.

Monday, August 1:

Pass the popcorn, please! Phyllis gives Jack a reality check. Regardless of what particular bee he has in his bonnet this time, we can’t wait to hear what Red’s two cents will be. You know she’ll set her ex-husband straight!

Aw, such a good wifey: Mariah supports Tessa during her recuperation. Fingers and toes crossed that our favorite singer’s voice comes out of this ordeal stronger than ever.

We can’t say that we didn’t see this coming after their ever-so-polite “disagreement” regarding the launch: A power struggle ensues between Devon and Nate. Will the cousins be able to come to an understanding, or is there big trouble ahead for Chancellor-Winters?!?

Tuesday, August 2:

At this point, we’re positive that Adam is taking these conversations with a grain of salt, but nonetheless, Victor puts the family black sheep on notice once again. Rhetorical question: What more can Pop threaten him with?

Jeez, shouldn’t these two kids be out doing something fun as young people do? Are there no bowling alleys in Genoa City? Is there no miniature golf? Instead of hanging out and having a good time, Noah and Allie debate family matters… which is bound to happen, we suppose, when an Abbott is dating a Newman.

Eep. If there is indeed a cover-up happening in Ashland’s death, we’ve got bad news for the culprit: Chance and Kevin uncover disturbing evidence.

Wednesday, August 3:

As she has so many times in the past, Phyllis takes a big risk. Will this particular gamble pay off, or will it come back to bite her in the behind?!?

Sally gives Nick the third degree. La Spectra may soon be giving the handsome Newman a whole lot more than that if our prediction about a hot new love triangle proves to be on point!

We have a feeling that this will only be temporary, but good for her! Amanda keeps the peace between Devon and Nate… for now.

Thursday, August 4:

It seems Victor has a full-time job keeping his sons in line this week as, on the heels of dealing with Adam, the Mustache finds reason to dole out an ultimatum to Nick. Theoretically, that would make Victoria and Abby next in line to be put on blast, right?

Here we go! Diane opens up to Jack, who we all know will fall hook, line and sinker for her schtick… and eventually right into his wily ex’s waiting arms! Just another reason we have two words to say to Phyllis. (Read them here.)

This was bound to be a bumpy ride: Ashley second-guesses her alliance with Nikki and Phyllis. Will she drop out of the game or decide she’s in it to win the prize? Which, of course, is a one-way ticket out of town for Diane.

Friday, August 5:

Calling all “Shick” fans! Your pairing will inevitably grow closer when Nick shares a secret with Sharon.

Billy walks a road well-traveled when he comforts Victoria. The question is, will he be walking it alone when Lily gets wind of what he’s been up to?

Are we about to get some dishy drama… or is this teaser work-related? We’ll have to tune in to find out as Abby catches Chance in a compromising position.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Stop us if you’ve heard this one before, but it sure looks like it’s the end of the line for Sheila. The murderous madwoman seeks safe harbor while Finn makes tracks to reunite with Steffy overseas. In other developments, a photo shared to social media leads to Instadrama as Ridge falls back into old habits. And by “old habits,” we obviously mean “Taylor’s arms.”

Friday, July 29:

Bill makes a shocking phone call, Liam and Hope share exciting news, and Finn is tearfully reunited with Hayes and Kelly as Steffy continues to mourn.

Ooo… Dollar Bill delivers an unexpected and exceptional gift to an extraordinary person. This has to be Katie right? But what do you get the girl who has everything — including a new heart and kidney?

Overlooking a beautiful vista in the south of France, Steffy is overcome with emotion remembering Finn. Don’t jump, lovely one, your prince is very much alive and is (hopefully) on his way!

Week of August 1:

Monday, August 1:

Oh snap! Sheila muscles her way into Deacon’s place with a crazy story and a desperate request. After his recent conversations with both Hope and Taylor, we know the reformed con will want no part of his deranged former friend crashing in his broom closet. Will Deacon turn in the madwoman… or turn the tables and deal with her in another, more sinister way?

Finn, Ridge and Taylor search for Steffy in the beautiful principality of Monte Carlo. There can’t be that many grief-treatment centers in the area that allow children and nannies on site, so we’re hoping for a joyous reunion sooner rather than later! Of course, what comes next is likely to tick off more than a few viewers…

Tuesday, August 2:

It’s crunch time in the janitor’s den as Deacon is forced to make a split decision that may very well change his life. Will he become the hero his daughter has always wanted her dad to be or prove Ridge correct in saying he’ll never change by helping public enemy No. 1, aka Sheila?!?

Speaking of the madwoman, um, what’s going to happen after the boom is lowered on her? See, this is why we’re so concerned about a problem the show shares with Young & Restless. Read all about it here.

Break out the tissues! There won’t be a dry eye in the house as the fates and stars align allowing Steffy and Finn to find their way back into each other’s arms.

Wednesday, August 3:

In the romantic locale of Monte Carlo, Steffy and Finn celebrate their miracle and share a joyous family reunion. Time for us to add a new chapter to our photo-filled retelling of their love story.

In a happy moment, Hope takes, then posts a photo of her parents that quickly goes viral. If your first thought wasn’t, “Oh no, Ridge’s head is going to explode!” then you don’t know the dressmaker. This could definitely inspire a knee-jerk reaction overseas, especially considering Brooke’s husband just happens to be with Taylor!

Thursday, August 4:

For the above-mentioned reasons, Brooke becomes alarmed about Hope’s picture on social media. Given that Deacon and his charms have been banned by Ridge, will La Logan posing with her ex while her husband is away finally put the kibosh on “destiny”?

Uh-oh. Things just got more complicated, folks: Caught up in a euphoric moment, Taylor and Ridge share a kiss. Why, why, why will she never lays out all of the times that he’s repeatedly proven that he’s just not that into her?

Friday, August 5:

This oughta be good! After Brooke rejects his presence, Deacon explains his theory about her, Ridge and Taylor to Hope. Our only question is, should we make popcorn or get a tablet to take notes?

Despite her joy at being reunited with the love of her life, Steffy shifts her attention away from Finn just long enough to call out Taylor and Ridge about their new vibe since being in Monte Carlo. Will her dreams of getting her parents back together finally come to fruition?!?

General Hospital

Perhaps it’s the summer heat that’s causing people to act out in Port Charles. Whatever the case, Nina and Sasha have a heated encounter, Dante ponders his entire future, Nikolas tries to stave off trouble, and Trina’s trial is going so poorly that Diane makes a desperate move!

Week of July 25:

Monday, July 25:

Boz is rushed to the hospital after he’s discovered by Curtis, Valentin continues to deceive Anna, and Joss threatens to have Sonny arrested.

The clock is definitely ticking, and everything could ride on whether or not Esme agrees to take Spencer up on the deal he wants to strike. Meanwhile, Ava is definitely caught off guard by Nikolas!

Jordan wants to know exactly why Curtis is doing what he’s doing.

As she heads back into the courtroom, Trina gets the support she definitely needs.

Apparently forgetting that Josslyn is her mother’s daughter, Carly tries talking her out of doing something.

Preview: “What’s coming up will be mind-blowing,” teases Laura Wright — and we all know that even losing her beloved hotel will not keep Carly down!

Love means never having to say you’re sorry… but Sonny and Nina might find themselves wanting to apologize after laying it all on the line and discussing some tough truths.

Tuesday, July 26:

Nikolas gives Esme what she’s been wanting, Spencer makes a demand, Joss suggests her mom is an idiot, and Nina opens up about her fears with Sonny.

Time is running out and the walls are closing in on Trina. Will Spencer be able to convince Esme that she should take him up on his offer? Meanwhile, as Carly tries to change her daughter’s mind, Trina tries to draw strength from those in her corner as the trial resumes.

When Nikolas surprises Ava, how will she respond?

Jordan can’t help but wonder exactly what’s motivating Curtis.

Will Sonny and Nina be able to talk through the bump in the road their relationship has encountered?

Wednesday, July 27:

Ryan admits to Esme he doesn’t know her mother’s real name, but has never stopped looking for her. Spencer’s testimony gives Diane an opening and Victor learns Nikolas slept with Esme.

Trina thought she was prepared for anything, but she’s taken aback when an unexpected witness is called to the stand. At the same time, Jordan — realizing that time is of the essence — heads to Wyndemere in the hope of helping Trina. As for Esme, she turns to perhaps the one person she hopes will be able to help: Ryan!

Cody tries — and fails miserably — to charm Britt. Can Maxie help him turn things around?

Thursday, July 28:

Ava vows to burn Nikolas’ world down after learning he slept with Esme, Spencer offers Diane a way to help clear Trina, and Michael informs Dex how they’ll bring down Sonny.

Nikolas is desperate to keep a secret from coming to light, but he may be fighting a losing cause. Meanwhile, as a new witness takes to the stand at Trina’s trial, Diane realizes she may have been presented with exactly the opening she needs!

Michael and Willow are slowly sharing their good news, but they’re surprised to find out that at least one person is already in the know!

Dex makes it clear he wants a larger role in Sonny’s organization.

Off a conversation with Mac, Dante just may consider making changes in both his work and personal lives.

Friday, July 29:

Spencer’s alibi for Trina may not be enough to exonerate her, Ava realizes there is more to Esme’s hate for her than just Spencer, and Brando explodes at Sasha for refusing to go to therapy.

Sonny isn’t quite sold on the idea of Dex being brought deeper into the organization, so he asks Brick to find out if this is a good idea.

Spencer’s decision could have major consequences, even as Esme is preparing to get out of Port Charles.

Sasha and Willow are there for one another… at least until things get tense. Meanwhile, when Brando discovers Michael and Dex together, he suggests that perhaps they should all go and have a chat with Sonny.

A blast from his past! General Hospital’s latest recruit leaves Cameron Mathison asking: “What are you doing here?”

Week of August 1:

Monday, August 1:

This is a day you won’t want to miss as Trina takes the stand in her own defense. Meanwhile, the showdown between Ava and Esme explodes even as Nikolas approaches his son.

Finn heads to the hospital so that he can check on Elizabeth on her first official day back. But something very unexpected is about to happen!

An increasingly nervous Willow has questions for TJ as they await the results of her latest tests. Will they finally figure out exactly what’s really going on with her? Meanwhile, Sam happens to be approaching Michael just as he’s making a rather mysterious phone call.

Even after all this time, Mac’s still got it… and when someone at the Metro Court pool notices, Felicia isn’t likely to be thrilled!

Tuesday August 2:

Now that Willow has a better idea about her condition, she sits down for a talk with Britt and Terry about what comes next.

Curtis is willing to do what it takes to get new information. Meanwhile, Trina’s freedom hangs in the balance, prompting Diane to make what might be a last-ditch effort to clear the young woman’s name.

Something pops up from the recesses of Elizabeth’s memories. Will it help shed light on what’s been going on with her?

What’s got Nikolas in a desperate race against time to get to Spoon Island?

Wednesday, August 3:

Sasha’s an emotional mess when she happens to cross paths with Nina at the Metro Court gardens. Meanwhile, Brando hopes that Sonny might be able to offer him some helpful words of advice.

Cameron gets an instant recap on what’s been going on with Trina’s trial.

Jordan has a few questions for someone who’s been brought to the station.

Thursday, August 4:

Having no clue as to the truth about Dex, Sonny says he has an assignment for his newest employee.

Dante is making big decisions about his future, including on the work front. What will come of his conversation with Jordan on that very topic?

Carly knows her daughter well enough to see that something’s eating at her. Will Josslyn confide in her mom?

Things spiral out of control at the Metro Court. How bad do things get? Bad enough that the police are summoned to the scene!

Friday, August 5:

Sasha’s becoming a real liability for Deception, prompting Maxie, Brook Lynn and Lucy to take a meeting regarding the latest Face of Deception news.

Gregory and Alexis made a “friendly” bet with one another, and today they’ll get together to determine who came out on top!

As Dante runs into Chase at the pool, Sam takes a meeting with Spinelli to ask for his help with a case.

Things are definitely not going well for Cody and Britt. In fact, when he tries talking with her, it quickly becomes obvious that she’s not particularly thrilled to see him!

Days of Our Lives

Rolf works his dark magic at Kristen’s behest, a shocking connection between two locals is revealed, Sarah and Xander take on a new challenge, and Rafe is given new reason to worry about his marriage!

Week of August 1:

Monday, August 1:

Where’s Maury Povich when you need him? Both Shawn and Evan are on pins and needles as they await the results of the paternity test. Who really fathered Jan’s baby? (Anybody else have a weird feeling that there just might be a third babydaddy option?)

Abigail’s death continues to haunt the DiMera family. Can Chad help young Thomas deal with his mom’s passing?

First, Orpheus suggested perhaps he should join Clyde in the kitchen at the Brady Pub. Then, he not-so-subtly threatened Steve’s kids. Now, he’s swinging by Marlena’s to ask her a favor. I mean, you have to say this: The guy’s got cajones! (Which is probably why, in related news, Steve goes to John and says they have to deal with the Orpheus issue, pronto!)

Tuesday, August 2:

When people in Salem need answers dragged out of their foggy memories, there’s only one person to see. That’s why Sarah winds up visiting Marlena in the hope of finding out what really happened the night Abigail died! While Sarah’s off trying to get help, Gwen hopes that perhaps she can make a little progress with Xander. (Yeah, good luck with that, girl!)

Gabi probably shouldn’t be surprised by the demands Ava makes, but she is.

Is it medicine? Magic? A combination of both? Who knows, but Kristen watches anxiously from the sidelines as Dr. Rolf tries to do his thing!

Wednesday, August 3:

We imagine it takes a lot to shock Kristen, who has cooked up more outrageous schemes than we have pasta dinners. Yet when she finds out what Rolf is up to, she’s completely stunned!

Despite everything that has gone down between them, when Shawn needs help, it’s Belle to whom he turns. Meanwhile, Evan is in for a pretty big shock…

Get ready for a battle of the poker faces when EJ tries to call Ava’s bluff!

Thursday, August 4:

Following Sarah’s session with Marlena, Xander and his true love are left with more questions than answers. Chief amongst them Who really killed Abigail?

Will Nicole find herself squirming as Paulina questions her about Eric? (And if that makes Nicole uncomfortable, imagine how she’ll feel when Jada asks Eric out on a date!)

With Chad spiraling thanks to his grief, Sonny is there for his dear friend.

Friday, August 5:

Leo and Gwen may be besties, but that doesn’t mean either really trusts the other. When he tries getting her to answer a few questions, will she be forthcoming or find a way to dodge?

Xander and Sarah put on their detective hats and set out to find clues that might finally prove who did away with Chad’s wife!

Sure, he tried to kill her while possessed by the devil. But that was then, this is now. So why shouldn’t Johnny try and get Paulina to help him? And if she’s reluctant, well, perhaps a little arm-twisting will help…

Maggie is about to see something she won’t soon forget at the mansion!

Xander and Sarah put on their detective hats and set out to find clues that might finally prove who did away with Chad’s wife!

Week of August 8:

Monday, August 8:

Kristen desperately needs Rolf’s plan to work in order for her to achieve her goals. The mad genius assures her that nothing will go awry. (Admit it, don’t you wish you had a Rolf of your own on call?)

Tuesday, August 9:

In Salem, nothing is what it seems and no character is an island. So it should come as no surprise that Rolf has a hidden connection to someone on the canvas. What might prove surprising is that the person is Li!

Wednesday, August 10:

Usually, when Sarah and Xander go undercover it’s so they can spend a little sexy time together. But today, they’ll be doing so in an effort to get the goods on his former lover, Gwen!

Thursday, August 11:

One never knows what will come out of the mouth of babes, or so they say. Thankfully, Chad is listening to what son Thomas has to say, because it might just offer a clue to the identity of Abigail’s murderer!

Friday, August 12:

It’s tough to imagine a more bizarre Scooby gang, but Clyde, Nancy, Brady and Chloe form one in order to put the final pieces of a puzzle together.

Rafe can’t help but notice that his wife is more than a little preoccupied with Jada and Eric’s date! Should he be worried that Nicole’s not as over her ex as she claims? (Don’t worry… that’s a rhetorical question!)
