The Young and the Restless viewers know that Chloe Mitchell Fisher will do nearly anything to help her best friend Chelsea Lawson. However, she has to have some cooperation from her friend in order to continue because she’s not a saint. This week, Chloe’s frustration at Chelsea’s attitude finally spilled out. For her performance, Soap Hub Performer of the Week honors for Y&R are presented to Chloe’s portrayer, Elizabeth Hendrickson.
Elizabeth Hendrickson — Y&R Performer of the Week
This week, Hendrickson made us truly feel Chloe’s frustration. We know she loves Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) so much that she even worked for her nemesis Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to ensure Chelsea had a job. And yet, through it all, Chelsea continued to take Chloe for granted, and this week, she finally, at long last stood up for herself.
We especially appreciated how Hendrickson portrayed her on-screen alter ego’s frustration through her defeated and defensive body language and facial expressions as well as the powerful delivery of her lines. Plus, when she had tears in her eyes, we truly felt Chloe’s sadness that her friend would treat her as if her contribution to their joint business weren’t that important.
While we feel certain that Chloe and Chelsea will patch things up again soon, we appreciated the fire and conviction that Elizabeth Hendrickson brought to her character this week. Bravo on an excellent performance!
